Our family vineyard is one of the original 1890 Coonawarra fruit colony vineyards located on the high banks of terra rossa soil.
Our vines are hand pruned in winter, hand-picked at vintage, and grown without herbicides, insecticides, or other non-organic fertilizers.
Then our grapes are processed in open fermenters which allow us to slowly extract their exceptional colour, aromas, and flavours.
Hand plunging techniques of our grapes produces a distinctive soft texture and assists with the capturing the essence of this historic Penola / Coonawarra Fruit Colony land.
In our wine cellaring process only, the finest French oak barrels are used. With 50% of the barrels being new.
Following several years of additional cellaring at the winery, we offer this elegant handmade Highbank Family Reserve, Vintage 2018 wine, to you with pride.
